What Is WorkplaceTECHNOLOGYTM?

It's a Bridge To Opportunity

WorkplaceTECHNOLOGY TM is The Sierra Group's term for assistive technology in the workplace. WorkplaceTECHNOLOGY TM can boost independence and employment opportunities, enabling many individuals with disabling conditions to fit unobtrusively into a wide range of work settings.

The Sierra Group designs individualized configurations of WorkplaceTECHNOLOGY TM to equip businesses and individuals with the tools they need. We craft creative solutions that expand people's capacities beyond their learning difficulties, vision impairments, speech issues, mobility and dexterity concerns or repetitive stress injuries. Our efforts increase productivity and provide employment options to those historically left out of the mix.

Step One: Evaluation

What will you do during the evaluation process?
The Sierra Group's consultants and trainers give individual attention to each person, listening actively and helping to identify your talents and goals. We consider the client's lifestyle, strengths, and current limitations as we work together to develop a plan. We also conduct research to identify the exact products and techniques that will succeed.

Step Two: Recommendation

What type of written recommendations will I receive?
We provide you with a written report that is specific and immediately useful. This report thoroughly describes the recommended technologies and offers a comprehensive plan to put those recommendations into action for your success.

Step Three: Engineering

What if what I need isn't readily available?
We strive to create high-quality, easy to use, cost-effective solutions. If a commercially available product does not meet our standards or your needs, we develop a custom-engineered design or modify existing technology to enhance its usefulness to you.

Step Four: Integration

How will I learn to use the products and methods you recommend?
As integrators, The Sierra Group will take you methodically and carefully through the learning process or make recommendations as to how you will obtain the skills needed to make optimal use of the technologies we recommend, customize them further to suit your needs, and make sure you are comfortable using them to meet your goals.
